8 Stones - Rona Traditional Cache

Knagur Green: Due to no response from the CO after the request to maintain or replace the cache, I am archiving it to, stop it showing on the listings and/or to create place for the geocaching community.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival. This is explained in the Help Center

Geocache Description:

 

 

 

A group of seven friends meet once a year to talk about our lives, loves, joys and troubles. A few years back we each collected 8 stones - each of which represents a decade of years. As we are all over 40, we placed 4 stones on the ground. It was a significant moment realising that we held in our hands less than half of our days (if we were lucky) left on this earth.

We started a tradition this year (2017) of honouring our parents whose stones had run out by placing a geocache in their honour.

Rona (1939-2017): A committed wife and amazing mother to her 3 boys. A teacher by trade, she had a wonderful way with children and ensured her sons made the most of their opportunities. She loved her pets and had a large collection of toy hippos and although her latter years were robbed by Alzeihmer's disease, memories of her laughter and adventurous spirit live on.
