We, the Disco Wizards are still fairly new to this hobby and GeoDad especially loves the statistics and targets associated with this awesome hobby.
We set ourselves targets for 2017 which were as follows:
- Get 1000 caches - We achieved this in August 2017 and so have decided to go for 1500 by the end of the year.
- Set a geocache - 28 so far! Tick!
- Complete our D/T table - Still 16 to go. We have only managed to add 12 this year. :(
- Host an event - Well duh! Here it is folks!
- Get a consecutive run of at least 183 days. (Sapphire badge on Project GC) - Ticked.
- Get at least 120 caches in a day (Ruby badge on Project GC) - We did this in style by walking the 16.8 mile KT Power series and after suffering a few DNF's we picked up an event and a few drive bys on the way home to eventually achieve 124 on the day (and about the same number of blisters!!!).
We haven't decided on all our targets for 2018 yet. We know one is to attend and camp at Piratemania so be aware - The Disco Wizards are coming. Others are undecided.
We therefore want to hear your ideas and thoughts! Do you set targets? Do you have a goal to complete yet? Do the stats bore you or motivate you and if so, what are your plans for 2018? Hitting milestones seems to be a big thing and we will probably be setting a milestone as a target too. What should it be? All help, comments and personal goals being shared will be awesome to hear!

The pub is quite small but close to our heart as its in our village. The food is great and we hope you enjoy it for those who join with us to eat.
Please, if you are planning on eating can you book a table by calling: 01785 284343 to reserve a table. Mention you are on the 'Wizards' booking and he will make sure we are together. We can always move to the bar afterwards to stay for drinks for as long as we like, especially if the restaurant is filling up.

Stoke or Stafford – SOS – a monthly series of events, each with a theme and designed to allow cachers to help each other. The events will be somewhere not too far from either Stoke or Stafford, or in between, and generally mid-week on different evenings to help ensure you can make some if not all of them. Need help? Other may do too – suggest a topic, propose a venue, or offer to be a host (hosts don’t have to know stuff – we have plenty of know-it-alls round here!)
