The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. Even numbered caches are on the E side of the Rd & odd on the W for 44 mi. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. Please pick up trash so the neighborhood trash-pickers are not drawn to the location. This cache is on Arizona State Trust Land so geocachers must purchase a recreation permit available on the ASTL Dept. website in order to geocache.
THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE RANCH In 1950, the Prescott Evening Courier reported that the students at Lincoln School took a field trip to the Red, White, and Blue Ranch to study “ranching, one of Arizona’s economic factors.” The ranch buildings were painted red, white, and blue. The ranch has changed owners and names a number of times and is currently owned by Swazy and Kathy McCraine, a rancher from Prescott who specializes in Western writing, photography, and publishing.
