Geocache Description:

Cone cow hotel

The cache is located at one of old crossroads on historical Oxen Road of Tavastia. The road was used by merchants, soldiers and even kings.

There´s an old local story connected to the crossroads. A wealthy timber buyer, coming from the direction of Hämeenlinna, was staying overnight in a local tavern. During the night he showed off his money to locals and other visitors.Next morning he left the tavern towards Turku, but he only got to the first crossroads when he was attacked, killed and his money was stolen. Since then the place has been locally known as the Man´`````` s Cross.
