More than 350 species of birds have been spotted at Barr Lake. Numerous bald eagles winter at Barr Lake and one pair stays to nest and raise its young every year. From this location, you may be able to see many different species. The main entrance to the State Park is from Picadilly Road. The park hours are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. A daily pass ($9) or annual pass is required for entry to the park.
Take a hike on a trail adjacent to the lake to arrive at the cache location. Look for the TRAIL sign to begin your nature walk. The cache is a large 'small' size. Please take care returning it to its hiding place.
