This area - and in particular this playground and nearby mill - is one of the true gems in the hills. Due to the cache going missing a number of times (as it was located where kids love to explore), I have moved it to a safer location nearby.
I frequent this playground quite often after moving to Bridgewater a few years ago. The kids love it and the Heysen Trail leading up by the mill is what I consider to be one of the best sections of the Heysen Trail. If you walk in the other direction under the road bridge, across the oval, over the creek bridge and keep going along this creek you will be walking along another beautiful trail which many locals seem to know very well. Bring the kids and enjoy the playground and walks around here. You may want to bring a spare pair of shoes if they decide to go rock-hopping across the creek.
The cache location has been moved from it's original position due to numerous DNFs. It is now a short distance from the playground at a spot of reflection and sadness. Take the time to read the memorial and have a seat.
