Geocache Description:

This is a medium sized cache that is not located at ground level. It can however be reached from ground level, but why come all this way and not have a look inside the bunker. A torch may be useful here.
Feel free to post as many photos as you want to.
(Please note that this cache replaces the Military Toot Step multi-cache https://coord.info/GCMAZA laid by Thornproof.)

If you like visiting WW2 Bunkers then you will love visiting this one.
This cache is placed at the WW2 Emergency Coast Battery, up on Toot Rocks, at Pett Level.

WW2 Battery Observation Post:
To the west of the WW2 Emergency Coast Battery is the two-storey Battery Observation Post (BOP).
The views from the upper floor can be rather amazing.
Unfortunately, without a ladder, you are unlikely to be able to access the upper floor.
This is because the stairs to the upper level have been removed.

WW2 Emergency Coast Battery:
This WW2 Battery originally had two 6-inch guns.
To the south of the Bunker, the western gun position survives reasonably intact but the eastern gun position appears to have been built over.
The Battery includes a Bunker.

WW2 Bunker:
The bunker can be accessed from the north-east corner of the Battery.

There are several room in the Bunker.
There are two store rooms, the Magazine that divided into five sections by partition walls, and the War Shelter
where the gun crew was billeted when off duty.

WW2 Spigot Mortar Base:
Have you ever wonder what a WW2 Spigot Mortar Base looked like?
Well, one survives a little north of the Battery Observation Post.
Here: N 50° 53.528' E 000° 41.275'

WW2 Pillbox (Pett Level):
If, like me, you just can't get enough WW2 Concrete, there is a WW2 Pillbox a short drive up the road.
Here: N 50° 53.594' E 000° 41.498'

WW2 HUF DUF Y-Station (Pett):
There is a High Frequency (HF) Direction Finding (DF) Wireless (Y) Station a 5-minute, or so, drive away.
Here: N 50° 53.544' E 000° 40.402'

WW2 Billet? (Pett):
There is a WW2 wooden building to the west of the HUF DUF Station.
Here: N 50° 53.524' E 000° 40.305'
