This is not a unique cache by any means but it will provide a “change of pace” for many cachers and, of course, introduce most of them to a new environment.
Information Gathering
In General
In the area of the “Stated Co-ordinates” you will be able to answer some questions to help lead you to the cache. You will then move to a new location within a few metres of the first one and finish your research. Armed with the data acquired at those two locations, you should be able to discern where to go to find the cache.
At the “Stated Co-ordinates”
You will find yourself standing within three of four metres (the unit couldn’t decide where exactly!) of a very obvious monument. We’re defining the direction towards the bank across the street as south. Please move so that you are facing the monument’s east side and record the answers to the following three questions:
(i) What is the first letter of the second word in the name of the first battle listed?
A is ____.
(ii) What is the fourth letter in the name of the fifth battle listed?
B is____.
(iii) What letter in the alphabet follows the second letter of the third battle listed?
C is ____.
Please move so that you are facing the north side of the monument and record the answers to the following three questions:
(i) What is the number of letters in the first name of the twenty-sixth person listed in the left column of the horizontal (almost) plaque? (Okay, so it's slanted at roughly 6.4 degrees above horizontal - how's that for precision?)
F = ____.
(ii) How many times does the letter ”W” appear in the twelfth name listed in the first (left) column of the vertical plaque?
G is ____.
(iii) What is the number of letters in the last name of the eleventh person listed in the third column of the vertical plaque?
H is ____.
Please move so that you are facing the west side of the monument and record the answers to the following two questions:
(i) How many times does the letter “U” appear in the name of the seventh battle listed?
J is ____.
(ii) How many letters appear in the first word of the name of the sixth battle listed?
K is ____.
At a Slightly Different Location
Please move to N44̊ 21.268 and W078̊ 44.432 which will move you east and bring you close to a much smaller monument of a similar nature. Please answer the following three questions from the information on its south face:
(i) What is the last letter of the last name of the second person listed?
L is ____.
(ii) What is the fifth letter of the first name of the first person listed?
M is ____.
(iii) What is the fourth letter of the second name of the third person listed?
P is ____.

Please treat them with a smile and/or a wave at some point in the proceedings!
Hours of Entry (but subject to change!)
Monday to Thursday: from 10:00 to 20:00;
Friday and Saturday: from 10:00 to 17:00;
