Geocache Description:

Designed to be a quick and relatively easy grab for anyone visiting the city centre. The only difficulty being that it is a few yards off the path and up a bit of a bank.

If approaching from the North Road end of Framwellgate Bridge it is a pleasant stroll along a short section of the riverbank offering fantastic views of the twin towers of Durham Cathedral.  Due to the amount of tree cover in the vicinity of the cache gps can be a bit erratic hence the fairly detailed description below....

Co-ordinates should take you to a large tree right beside the path which has some of its roots on top of a small stone wall. At the time of writing the tree has the number 80 on it along with a Durham Cathedral Riverbanks sign.  The cache is attached to the smaller tree behind this one.  Container is a camouflaged bison with log only.
