Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on the Western slopes of Kit Hill Country Park. A park which is part of the Tamar Area of Natural Beauty and for it's mining history a World heritage site. Given to the people of Cornwall by the Duchy of Cornwall in 1985 to celebrate the birth of Prince Wiiliam. Enjoy beautiful views of Bodmin Moor as you search for this cache.

From the cache site you have a lovely view looking back uphill to the 'stack'. The summit stack was built in 1858 for the kit Hill great Consols / Kit Hill United mining complex. The famous landmark was for a steam engine pumping water out of the mines.

This is a simple traditional cache with a little trek through some old mine diggings. These were pits dug as they looked for mineral seams and they are numerous across the hill.

This site is close to tracks used by dog walkers and hikers and can be busy. It  can be overlooked so please be muggle aware.

Nearest car parking is on the summit and it is an easy downhill walk to the cache site. Mind you it is uphill on the way back.

This cache is placed with the kind permission of the Kit Hill country Park Manager and complies with Park and geocaching guide lines.
