Geocache Description:

Cache placed for the 2017 KNC Geocaching Extravaganza, Fall Edition! The KNC offers a beautiful natural setting to explore, 10+ miles on 14 different trails of various terrain, and chances to encounter wildlife! There is an admission fee to hike the trails. April through October the trails are open 9am to dusk. November-March the trails are open from 9am-6pm. More details are available at http://www.naturecenter.org/ to help plan your visit!

You're looking for an ammo can hidden off trail, slightly below the level of the main trail -- you'll find a relatively sloped and easy to navigate trail leading down and around, unless you take the straight path down the hill!

The Triceratops was a herbivorous dinosaur that first appeared about 68 million years ago in what is now North America.  The term Triceratops, which literally means "three-horned face", is derived from the Greek "tri" meaning "three", "keras" meaning "horn", and "ops" meaning "face".

Bearing a large bony frill and three horns on its large four-legged body, and possessing similarities with the modern rhinoceros, Triceratops is one of the most recognizable of all dinosaurs and the best known ceratopsid. It shared the landscape with and was probably preyed upon by Tyrannosaurus, though it is less certain that the two did battle in the manner often depicted in traditional museum displays and popular images.

As always, it's up to you whether or not to pursue finding and signing the log on a particular geocache -- please know that you choose to find each of these geocaches, and do so at your own risk. Please be considerate to the natural surroundings as you enjoy all that KNC has to offer, and try to leave the environment a little better than before you visit!
