Geocache Description:

One more geocache in the wild and woolly Larry Drives Series.  A short drive from Seligman on interstate 40. Checkout the nearby red plaque. This gc is on Arizona State Trust Land, therefore geocachers must have a recreation permit which may be purchased at the ASTL website.

Follow us on our adventure from Prescott, north to the end of Simmons Highway (paved) and Williamson Valley Road (dirt). These roads are relatively smooth, wide and accessible in a normal passenger vehicle.  If you are driving from Prescott, we recommend you grab some of the WVRd Series caches and other gcs along the way. No services and spotty cell between the Outer Loop Road and I 40.

On February 5, 2001, a section of County Road 5, known as Simmons Highway, was renamed Williamson Valley Road. The renamed 21-mile section is between Iron Springs Road and Camp Wood Road. The Simmons Highway continues north, then west to Walnut Creek, where the historic Hardyville Toll Road entered Williamson Valley. It then heads north to Interstate 40. (Arcadia Publication's Williamson Valley Road book)
