After the CITO a local dog walker had sharp words with one of our clean up crew berating us for creating litter and blocking in cars - maybe we looked like a pack of ne'er-do-wells! While her dog left with it’s waggy tail high in the air her’s was firmly between her legs after she was pleasantly advised that the group she was referring to had given up their own free time to clear all that litter from her local woods and that the cars that were ‘blocked in’ belonged to the said volunteers and we had been very careful to ensure that we didn’t block in any cars.
We met lots of other local folk whilst doing the CITO and each & every one were very appreciative of what we were doing; it's those we remember & make it even more worthwhile.
This also reminded me of a song but I can't for the life of me think that it is.
