Several years ago in Antarctica, during a particularly bad spell of global warming, Dot, the emperor penguin, with her family, found themselves stranded on an iceberg, floating down the Atlantic ocean into the Celtic sea. Realising that any chances of finding their way home were dashed, they stayed on the iceberg until it finally beached in Widemouth Bay.
With a slow waddle they followed the lanes, dashing out of sight when cars and people came close. Eventually they found themselves in Week St Mary and as they liked the quiet sleepy village, they decided to set up a new home for themselves.
Dot and her family discovered many ways of communicating with their family and friends back in Antarctica, but the easiest one was an old tried and tested form of telegraphy, which they adopted and renamed Penguin Code.
Recently we intercepted one of their messages and learned that they are lonely and bored. They gave out their location in a hope that friends would come and visit. Unfortunately I only managed to decode N50 45 and W004 30. Can you help by decoding the last 3 digits of the northing’s and westing’s and perhaps pay them a visit to cheer them up?
