The family always has the intention of placing more caches out and about but life gets in the way. I received a gentle nudge about possibly placing a cache for this event and that was all it took to get the ball rolling. We planned our evening around finding a spot in the area for placing a cache. Who knew it would be such a challenge to find at least 528 ft without a cache already hiding nearby. The kids went through lots of fun options that were already taken; close to a favorite cold treat, nearby a favorite spot to get our wiggles out, a park, etc. It was getting a bit dark and my son doesn't do well with mosquitoes so I made an executive decision and pulled over and bingo we were able to meet the measurement requirement. Now, for the kids to pick out a perfect spot. For those who know us well you know the story about how my husband first connected geocaching to some exciting stories (my kiddos would be out with my husband and as soon as they parked and unbuckled, the kids would hop out of the car and go running towards a...).
