EKTOPASOŻYTY
Psy mogą mieć 2 gatunki pcheł i wszy, 3 gatunki roztoczy i aż 6 gatunków kleszczy żyjących na skórze i w sierści.
Krety mają największe pchły na świecie – o długości do 8 milimetrów.
Widłonogi to krewni krewetek i pasożyty rekina żarłacza błękitnego. Żyją na całym jego ciele: na płetwach piersiowych, w nozdrzach, na skrzelach. Rekiny mogą też mieć pijawki.
ENDOPASOŻYTY
Psy mają własne, psie gatunki glist, tasiemców i tęgoryjców. Jeden z nich dostaje się do ciał psów przez łapy, a inny zamieszkuje tylko w naczyniach krwionośnych przy sercu.
Krety mogą mieć nawet 13 gatunków robaków w jelitach, organach wewnętrznych i mięśniach.
Na każdy odcinek jelit żarłacza błękitnego przypada inny gatunek tasiemca. Poza tym mogą w nich żyć glisty i tęgoryjce, w tym jeden gatunek o kształcie i rozmiarze papierosa!

ECTOPARASITES
Dogs can have 2 species of fleas and lice, 3 species of mites and even 6 species of ticks living on their skin and in the coat.
Moles have the largest flea in the world - up to 8 millimeters long.
Copepodes are relatives of shrimps and they’re parasites of the blue shark. They live all over his body: on the fins of the chest, in the nostrils, on the gills. Sharks can also have leeches.
ENDOPARASITES
Dogs have their own, dog species of glist, tapeworms and hookworms. One of them gets into the body of the dog by the paws, and another lives only in the blood vessels near the heart.
Moles can even have 13 species of endoparasites in the intestines, internal organs and muscles.
For each section of intestines of the blue shark there is another species of tapeworm. Additionally, they sharks can have worms and hookworms, including one species of the shape and size of a cigarette!
