Geocache Description:

Along a short dead end road south of Lily, lies a small pond. The old barn and farmhouse of the Bostwick Family Farm still stands near it. The late Raymond Bostwick founded the farm in 1953 along with a small logging company, which is still in business today. He and his wife, Grace, raised 16 kids on this farm, and had 16 dairy cows. One for each of the kids to milk everyday. The farm is now defunct, but the barn and farmhouse still stand, and the fields are still in use being rented out to other local farmers for hay. Though not in operation anymore, the farm land and homestead is still owned by the Bostwick Family. Lily may be a small town nestled in the heart of the north woods, but it has a rich history! I live down the road from this cache, and have always appreciated this little pond. I hope other geocachers can appreciate it as much as I do, and learn the history of what used to be my family's farm! *Note: CACHE IS NOT AVAILABLE IN WINTER!*
