We hid this Geocache because me and my dad are massive Worthing FC fans! We go to almost every match! Because of this and the fact its only down the road from us we thought it would be a perfect place for our first geocache! We also love Geocaching so we are excited to release this cache!
Woodside Road is the home of Worthing FC - currently in the Bostik Isthmian Premier League. Worthing Association FC was founded in February 1886 and became Worthing FC in 1902.
The nickname of "The Rebels" dates from when it resigned from the West Sussex League over a rule change, prior to becoming a founder member of the Sussex County League in 1920. Previously Worthing had been known as "The Mackerel Men": a reference to the fish on the club crest. A redesigned club logo was introduced in 2016.
