A very strenuous hike will get you to Nel's Cave, just below the famous Towerkop pinnacles. You can expect an ascend of more than 1000 meters from your car.
From the parking to the cave, will take you more than 7 hours of hiking. Only recommended if you are quite fit.
The alternative is to sleep at the shelter the previous evening, from where you will be able to reach the cave in about 2:30.
The days can be very hot, and you are advised to carry at least two liters of water at all times. Water can only be found at the shelter, near GC74770, and at Nel's Cave.
You will have to carry to the cave: Matrass, Sleeping Bag, warm clothing, food, headlight, At least. The nights can be very cold here, snow and ice is a common sight.
