Nice, very short hike from parking. Very family friendly. Last few feet to the cache are a little scratchy, hence the 1.5
This is a good follow up to the "You Are What You Eat" cache located at the Pyramids of Aztalan. You won't have to hike very far for this one, and you are very close to the downtown Lake Mills, which is a lovely place.
There have been sightings of stone structures at the bottom of this lake for a while. Frank Joseph has written a few books on this, "The Hidden Pyramids of Rock Lake" (feel free to correct this). One theory is that the burial structures of the inhabitants of Aztalan are located here. Enjoy this park and go down the road to park closer to the water if you would like to fish.
This is my first hide! I took good readings so you shouldn't have to look far. It's kinda basic in location, almost a bit stereotypical (hint, hint). There may be a bit of traffic in this area, but when I planted this one on an Friday evening at around 6:00, it was empty, and the weather was beautiful. No bugs!
Contents are varied from some postcards, some books, and the Captain from The Simpson's! Please reseal the tupperware container and replace it where you found it, as you found it. As I said, this is my first hide, so if there are any problems, just give me a holler...
