Geocache Description:

From the intersection of Highways NM4 and NM485 near Jemez Springs, take NM485 until it turns into Forest Road 376. Follow 376 past the Gilman Tunnels for approx 2 miles. Turn right or park near 4x4 road going down the slope to the north.

This was cache #2 (of 4) planted this day by me - "Pink" -(I've has been known to my friends by that nickname since waaaaaaaaaaay before the pop singer), my hubby (Cap'n Swoop) and kids Alex and Stacy. See our website of (visit link) for details on all 4 caches together, plus hint pictures. Website should be up after Aug 11, 2002

The cache is in a plastic peanutbutter jar and labeled with the cache name on it. Original Contents of Pink's Jabberwocky cache are:

a squirting monkey (a rude squirt, to be more exact)
2 AA batteries for the hungry GPS units
a tiny gold unicorn (my personal mascot)
antique brass lock (small, no key)
2 silver fairies
"Is there anybody out there?" button
small deck of playing cards
1 hair band (scrunchy type)

This cache also contains a disposable camera for pictures of visitors, please return it to the cache when done.

We picked this location after finding it during a campout, instead of the usual pine trees, this area is shaded by a dense thicket of gnarled oak trees, and is pretty creepy looking, especially on a gloomy day - looks just like where you'd expect to find the Jabberwock lurking. The campsites along the river to the north are very nice, well shaded, and less busy than those farther up the road near Porter's Landing.

Good Luck,
-Pink
