Lake George is an endorheic lake as it has no outflow of water to rivers and oceans. The lake is believed to be more than a million years old. The local indigenouse people called the lake Werriwa (or Weereewa) which may mean 'bad water' - the lake is one of the salties bodies of water in inland NSW and is almost as saline as seawater.
Take care when retrieving this cache - there are a lot of sharp spikes on this type of vegetation.
