To complete the circular route, continue to follow the route to the trail marker for the forest track, and head downhill until you reach a tarmac road. Take a left and follow this road a short distance until you reach the ruins of Lennox Castle and Woodhead House Hidden in the adjacent woods accross the track from Lennox Castle). The tarmac path (rough and uneven in places) continues to wind down the hill and back along to the parking spot.
