My First Geocache placement. Rated 3 difficulty due to length of hike. Very beautify and hidden place at Oak Mountain.
Two ways to get to this: 1) (Long Way) - Suggest you park at North Trail Head and follow White trail to magie's glenn (1.3 miles). 2) (Short Way) - Take the road toward the rental cabins and then park in the parking lot at the first building on the left. Walk through the open field and follow white trail about 1/4 mile. This cache is located in a very nice spot that you would never realize exsisted without Geocaching.. Bench to sit and relax once you get there. :)
09/18/10: Plan to refurb the cache tomorrow. Cache has held up really well for 8 years. Putting new cotainer in and adding a few items from geocaching.com as prize for first to find. Please try to take only one of the geocaching.com items and leave others for next person. Will be adding an "interesting and worthwile" prize between now and end of year.. Don't you love the excitement of not knowing when.. :)
