There are over 1,700 Cemeteries (plus a few I have missed) in our Province. Our Caching friends have used names such as Cemetery, Cemetary, Bone Yard, Faded Markers, Pioneer, Restin, Resting, Restin-in and Sleeping and some variations of them in the name of their cache. Plus many that have used the name of the Cemetery or some other name for their cache. There are also many pet Cemeteries. We have found some very interesting final resting locations through out our travels. Very large city ones with many many markers in them. Small rural towns with the first families to settle in the area. Small forgotten pioneer family plots surrounded by the fields they had cleared when they settled in the area. Fortunately most of the cities, towns or regions have taken over the responsibility and upkeep of many of them but there are still a few that have been forgotten and are in bad shape. Some have very elaborate markers both in size and shape and information such as pictures and engravings on them and others are very basic stones. Our history of the pioneers and the present day names of streets and places can be found on the these markers. Take a moment or two to look at them while on your way to GZ. You may even see a marker with the surname of someone with the same name you know. We have. We have also found some Cemeteries with the given and/or surname name of some one we know. We have. There is so much information available through the internet now I am sure there are many more Resting places out there that are waiting for some one to hide a cache in.
There are a few cache names spelt Cemetary so I checked it out and the spelling of the word that is land reserved for human or animal (pet) remains is Cemetery. Cemetary according to Wikipedia is the name of a Swedish metal band. LOL
Congratulations to TG4 on your First to Find our cache.
PLEASE NOTE THIS CACHE IS NOTE WINTER FRIENDLY
