This Sycamore Loop Trail
cache is located in
the Hoosier National Forest. The Trailhead is located on Tower Ridge Road.
(Directions) From the east side
of Bloomington on Hwy 46 take Hwy 446 South for about 12.5 miles. You will come
to Tower Ridge Road. Turn east and drive to the Fire Tower (see Picture #1) and
park there. Take the trail North and pick up the Hickory Ridge Trail and go
right on the trail This trail has a lot of switchbacks but if you stay on the
trail they make the hike a lot easier. The cache is located about 40 feet from
the trail but you will never loose the trail from view. There are maps in the
holder located on the Trailhead Sign.

This is the location of the Fire Tower and Trailhead Parking Lot.
The cache
container is a Green Ammo Box with
a Geocaching label on the side.It contains a Log Book, Pencil and Pen. This cache has my usual kind of stuff in the
cache.
Enjoy the hike in to the cache and take your time. This trail
is worth looking around while hiking and maybe take a few pictures. If you get a
picture of something interesting how about posting it here. I would like to see
them. If you hike the entire 6.3 miles you will have a nice hike and you will
also see the Terril Cemetery on the last 1/3 of the trail.
