New Year's Resolution Event 2018

Route

When - Saturday January 13th 2018
Where - Glengarra Wood, Cahir, Co. Tipperary
Time - 10.30am

The 2018 New Years Resolution walk will take place in Glengarra Wood, Cahir, Co. Tipperary. The event will start at 10.30 am at the posted coordinates and finish at 11am.

A walk will take place after at 11am that is optional and everyone is welcome to join. The walk is a loop and starts and finishes at the event coordinates. The walk is approximately 7K in length with approximately 180m accent, and will take around 2.5 hours to complete including taking in the 10 caches located on the loop.

The walk is mostly easy going however there are small elevation increases in some places. The terrain is all on forest tracks. Halfway around the loop we will cross a small ford, so walking boots are highly recommended. We will be out in the open so you should have warm clothes, wet gear, water and food with you.

After the walk we are going to the Firgrove Hotel for refreshments and chat. I have an area reserved in the bar from 2PM to 4PM. To stay up to date and to help us gauge numbers, please log a "Will Attend" notice.
