Geocache Description:

Small lock & lock hidden near historic West Cummington Cemetery, BYOP

"The Sharpshooters," written by Luke Emerson Bicknell recounts his experiences with the 1st Company of Massachusetts Sharpshooters during the Civil War. The account was written in 1883 from diary entries kept and provides details of Bicknell's tactics and skill as a sharpshooter. Bicknell died in 1888 and was buried here, in West Cummington Cemetery.

I believe a geocache should either provide a unique experience or bring visitors to an interesting location; or a combination of both. Please see my rating below, an explanation for where and why I placed this cache. I hope you have as much fun searching for it as I did hiding it.
