Beaver Lodge Traditional Cache

Tread lightly on the Crofton Lake trail and you can watch the beavers' wake as they swim across the lake. Tread loudly and you'll hear their tail splash warning you to stay clear of their vicious bite.

The cache is on the dry side of the trail to not disturb the lodge. Once you signed the log you can quietly proceed to the shore where you'll see some beaver-fallen trees and the lodge, which is about 15m from the shore. Every time I come by here there is traffic around the lodge, these critters deserve the moniker "busy as a beaver".

Crofton Lake is best accessed from the townsite of Crofton, the watertowers at the top of Robert Street make for a great starting point.
