The game:
Battleship (in Dutch: Zeeslag) is a guessing game for two players. It is played on ruled grids (paper or board) on which the players' fleets of ships (including battleships) are marked.
The locations of the fleet are concealed from the other player. Players alternate turns calling "shots" at the other player's ships, and the objective of the game is to destroy the opposing player's fleet.
How are we going to play Battleship and find the cache?
Below you will find a checker. This is your canon. You enter your chosen area (coordinate) in the checker, and when you submit, the canon fires a shot.
The checker will tell if you have fired a hit, or the distance from the battleship. This will help you adjust your area if needed.
When you have hit the battleship, you can go and find the cache.
However!!
The canon is really old. You can fire 10 shots within 30 minutes, and then it has to cool down.
So if you fire 10 shots that fail, you will have to wait before you can fire a new shot.
