Post Code Cache 107 - Papa Lima 6
UK postcodes, introduced by the Royal Mail (then called the General Post Office) now serve several purposes. They were originally intended to help sorting offices categorise the postal mail, however they are also used for calculating insurance premiums, aggregating census statistics, and for designating coordinates for route planning devices. Postcodes were first used in London in 1857, and expanded to several large cities in 1939 , reaching the rest of the UK between1959 and1974.
As postcodes are used on posted letters, we thought we'd make it a letterbox cache . There is a rubber stamp and ink pad inside for you to use with your own notebook. Please be sure to leave the stamp and ink pad in the cache afterwards.
This cache is at the posted coordinates
