Geocache Description:

Gary, che tipo di animale da compagnia è nella serie animata SpongeBob? Per trovare il geocache bisogna stare attenti ai Muggles in macchina perché si potrebbero insospettire.

Il Porto Patriziale di Ascona è stato inaugurato nel mese di luglio del 1997. Offre 274 posti barca suddivisi in cinque categorie a dipendenza della grandezza dell'imbarcazione, tutti riforniti d'acqua ed elettricità. Il porto è dotato di infrastrutture moderne di prim'ordine (W.C., docce, lavatrice, macchina per il ghiaccio). La struttura portuale è completamente galleggiante e permette di reggere i 5 metri di escursione del livello del Lago Maggiore in caso di piene. Posti barca di transito possono essere prenotati presso la Capitaneria. Nel 2008 è stato ampliato il ristorante con una nuova sala panoramica per 57 posti a sedere. Al ristorante e stato dato un nuovo nome: "Ristorante Vela Bianca" Nel 2010 sono state fatte diverse opere di miglioria, nuovi posti barca per grosse imbarcazioni e un attracco di transito per il ristorante. Si è creato uno spazio coperto per biciclette.
