This is a Play Anywhere Wherigo Cache. In order to find this cache, you must play the cartridge on a smart phone or Pocket PC with a compatible Wherigo Player. Since it is play anywhere, I also made it available to play in an emulator. The Garmin version of the player will not work with this cartridge.
The design of this game cartridge will allow the player to play at any location. So you can play this Wherigo any time, anywhere. You will be given the coordinates to the final once the game is complete. You can make note of them or save your game until you decide to look for the final.

The posted coordinates will take you to the middle of the Stony Lake. That location is only a place to "park the icon". You do not need to go there, nor should you. Do not attempt to search for the cache there! You will be given the actual cache coordinates upon completion of the game.
This game is based on the parlour game "Are you there, Moriarty?"
Are you there Moriarty? is a parlour game in which two players at a time participate in a duel of sorts. Each player is blindfolded and given a rolled up newspaper (or anything that comes handy and is not likely to injure) to use as a weapon. The players then lie on their fronts head to head with about three feet of space between them - or in other versions hold outstretched hands, or stand holding hands as in a handshake. The starting player says "Are you there Moriarty?". The other player, when ready, says "Yes". At this point the start player attempts to hit the other player with his newspaper by swinging it over his head. The other player then attempts to hit the starting player with his newspaper. The first player to be hit is eliminated from the game and another player takes his place. The objective of the game is to remain in the game as long as possible.
There is a small amount of strategy to the game. In order to avoid being hit, each player may roll to one side or the other. The decision of which direction to roll, or whether to roll at all often determines whether the player is hit by his opponent. A player who can quickly roll out of the way after speaking or striking will have a definite advantage in the game. However, like most parlour games, the appeal of this game largely lies in its spectacle and humor rather than its strategy.
The Wherigo setting and game play.
As the cartridge player, you will swing first. You will chose to swing left, center or right. Your opponent will roll left, right or not at all. If you miss, your opponent will then swing and you will need to either roll left, right or not at all. This will continue until you win or are eliminated. If you win, you will go on to your next opponent. Once you have defeated three consecutive opponents, you will be given the coordinates to the final. The coordinates will also be placed in your inventory so you can save your game and pull them up later.
The cache.
The cache is a half gallon sized plastic jar. Be aware of the possibility of muggles while searching for the cache. When you are finished, please hide the container as you found it. In order to claim this cache as found, you must physically find the cache and sign the log sheet.
This cache is placed with permission in Stony Lake Park. Park hours are from dawn to dusk daily unless otherwise posted at the gate. There is no entry fee.
