This entrance to Martial Cottle Park was schedule to be opened at the end of 2014. Finally in mid-2017 the entrance is opened with no fanfare. The trail has been ready for years, but was fenced off due to some legal issues.
Now you can add this to the several walk-in entrances linking residential neighborhoods to Martial Cottle Park. This entrance is also only about 1/2 mile from the Blossom Hill Light Rail Station, so one can even take public transportation to reach this park.
Park hours are from 8:00am to sunset. Trail hours are from sunrise to sunset. Dogs on leash, horses, and bicycles are allowed in all areas of this park. If you drive into the park, there is a $6 parking fee. If you are on foot or on a bicycle, there are several walk-in entrances surrounding the park.
The cache is in a small plastic container. The cache contains a logsheet, cache note, and some small trinkets.
