I heard about a podcast that came out this year called S*town. Everyone was talking about it! It was all over Facebook, the internet, & they were even talking about it on some of the TV Talk shows! I've never listened to a podcast but then I heard it was about a little place called Woodstock, Alabama. WHAT!? NO WAY! That's only about 10 minutes from where I grew up! These were my old stomping grounds!
So, I decided to listen to it & see what it was all about. I got completely caught up in it & was hooked! I listened to all 7 hrs. of it in about 2 days & then felt lost when it was over.
A few months later, we were on a kayaking/caching adventure in Tennessee & met a fellow cacher by the name of Bubblehead653. S*town got brought up, & as it turns out, he was a fan too! So we were talking about it, I told him that I am originally from down that way & he says,"You should put a cache down there & name it S*town!" I thought that was a great idea! I decided to make it a series of caches! I've got to give a shout out of thanks to Bubblehead653 for the idea!
This cache gives you a good view of the water tower that says Welcome to Woodstock, a.k.a. S*town. It is not where you would expect it to be so please replace exactly where hidden to avoid being muggled.
