A geocache placed by a local Boy Scout Troop near great views of the popular Alcova Reservoir with a great geology lesson along the way.
This geocache is at the top of a hill reached by hiking the popular Alcova Reservoir Cottonwood Beach Dinosaur Trail. The cache was created and placed by a local Boy Scout Troop, which my sons and I are affiliated with. A very beautiful area with great views and interesting geological features. The trail is moderately difficult, but the distance not long. When reaching the top of the hill (end of trail) there is a little bit of cross-country scrambling remaining to get to the cache. When you reach the natural, rock bathtubs you are getting close!
