Skyline Road. Beginning at Eildon Township in the south, you can follow this winding road north right through to Bonnie Doon and the Maroondah Highway. This shortcut through the hills will save you both time and distance, however it is not signed as such. It is a very picturesque road—on the right hand side you’ve got sensational views of Lake Eildon and on the left there are terrific valley views out towards Alexandra. In winter, views from Skyline can provide low lying morning fog, interesting sunrises and distant snow fields beyond the lake.
