Geocache Description:

This simple mystery cache will take you to a beautiful view of Wheeler Pond.  Posted coordinates are for parking.

In the 1880’s Wheeler Pond provided power for Wheeler’s Sawmill. Up until the mid-1930’s, blocks of ice were harvested from the pond in winter and used to preserve food in iceboxes before refrigerators were invented.

You will see Spindle Hill to the north. Spindle Hill, the second highest point in Stow, is named for the textile industry spindles that used to be cut from trees on the hill.

What kind of tree was used to make the spindles? Enter the correct answer in Certitude to receive the cache coordinates!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
