This two-step multi-puzzle will take you to 2 separate Autobots which were both ambushed by the evil Decepticons. In order to find the lost Energon Cube (logbook) you will have to solve the puzzle below. This puzzle has a portion that can be solved at home as well as an easy field-puzzle to ensure that people visit the downed Autobots. Start your journey at the 1st Autobot (N 45° 17.441' W 075° 47.964').
Note: If you park at the recommended parking, then the total hike to find both Transformers, the cache and then back to the car again will be slightly under 1km; so even if you manage to 'guess' the solutions from home, please visit and pay your respects to the dead Autobots...
2 Decepticons were responsible for the deaths of these 2 Autobots, and you will need to discover their identities in order to find the final energon cube (logbook). Both Autobots appeared to be ambushed and were hit by tank shells.
The coordinates for the tank shell fire was determined by this sneaky Decepticon below. He was able to spy on the Autobots from a far away distance.
A1 = The digital root of the Decepticon shown above (hint: 1 word, 9 letters)
When in camera form, this Decepticon tends to go by 1 name, however it in fact is composed of three separate robots.
B1 = Sum the digital roots of each of the 3 robot names. (hint: DR(7 letters) + DR(8 letters) + DR(10 letters) = a 2 digit number)
At the posted coordinates, observe the remains of the 1st Autobot and answer the following questions:
C1 [FIELD PUZZLE] = The number of tires that are still attached to the Autobot, multiplied by 10.
D1 [FIELD PUZZLE] = If the Autobot is 'normal side up', then D1 is 10, however if the Autobot is upside down (i.e. wheels facing up), then D1 is 20.
You will find the location of the 2nd ambushed Autobot at a distance of 'Distance1' at a true north bearing of 'Bearing1' where:
Distance1 = 75 + A1 + B1 + C1
Bearing1 = 22° + D1°

The second Autobot (Who's name was Herbie) was the one carrying the Energon Cube, but after the explosion it went flying.
The Decepticon firing the tank shells is shown below:
A2 = The digital root of the Decepticon (hint: 1 word, 5 letters)
Because the ambushing of the 2 Autobots required some stealth, he decided not to combine with his ally Combaticons to make the attack.
B2 = The digital root of the name of the giant Decepticon when combined. (hint: 1 word, 8 letters)
Observe the remains of the 2nd Autobot Herbie and answer the following questions:
C2 [FIELD PUZZLE] = The number of tires that are still attached to the Autobot, multiplied by 10.
D2 [FIELD PUZZLE] = If the Autobot is 'normal side up', then D2 is 10, however if the Autobot is upside down (i.e. wheels facing up), then D2 is 20.
You will find the location of Energon Cube (logbook) at a distance of 'Distance2' at a true north bearing of 'Bearing2' where:
Distance2 = 25 + A2 + B2 + C2
Bearing2 = 1.7° + D2°
