The edge of the amphitheatre in Hallett Cove Conservation Park always seems to be windy... no wonder it was such a popular spot for flying model aircraft... until 2009 when the licence to fly was revoked.
The spot even had international fame - Ayrton Senna, 3 time world F1 champion and a keen model aircraft pilot was a regular visitor to the site from 1986 to 1993 when in town for the Adelaide F1 Grand Prix.
