Põhja konn on Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwaldi 1866. aastal kogumikus „Eesti ennemuistsed jutud“ ilmunud muinasjutu „Põhja konn“ üleloomulikust olendist tegelane, konnataoline koletis.
Kreutzwald kujutab põhja konna hiiglasliku olevusena, kellel oli härja keha, konna jalad ja mao saba. Põhja konna keha oli kaetud kivist ja rauast tugevamate soomustega, tema silmad hiilanud heledamini kui küünlad. Põhja konn püüdnud kõike enda teel hävitada ning ajanud ta suust välja tuld ja suitsu. Nagu sünnib teisteski lohetapmislugudes, hävitas põhja konna noormees kavalust appi võttes.

The Frog of the North is a supernatural creature, a frog-like monster in the Estonian fairy tale "The Frog of the North", published in 1866 by Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald in the collection "Eesti ennemuistsed jutud".
Kreutzwald depicts the Frog of the North as a gigantic creature with a body of an ox, legs of a frog and a tail of a snake. The body of the Frog of the North was covered with hard scales of stone and iron, and its eyes glowed brighter than candles. The Frog of the North tried to destroy everything on its way and exhaled smoke and fire. As in many other dragon-slaying stories, in the end a young man destroyed the Frog of the North using his wit.

A the coordinates you will see the mythical Frog of the North who, if you're lucky, gives you a hint about the hiding place of the cache. Also, from the frog one can see the staircase with the highest elevation in Estonia. To find the cache go up the stairs and carefully count ALL the steps. You must make exactly this many frog leaps from the frog to get to the cache. The lenght of one leap of the mythical Frog of the North equals 62 cm. If you look closely, you will see that the Frog of the North is winking its right eye towards NNE.
