How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Girl Scouts USA started in Savannah, Georgia in 1912 and Girl Scouts San Diego started just 5 years later in 1917 and was the first council west of the Rocky Mountains.

I got my start in Girl Scouts in 1978 and am a Girl Scout today! The Girl Scouts and geocaching have gone nicely together as I was introduced to geocaching on a Girl Scout trip and have lead Junior Girl Scout leaders to help their girls earn their Geocaching badge.

Geocachers have SWAG. Girl Scouts have SWAPS. Geocachers have CITO. Scouts leave a place cleaner than they found it and practice "Leave No Trace". Both go on great adventures!

No need to go on private property but they are aware of the cache and have approved it.

Please be sure to hide it back so that it is camouflaged when you are done.

FTF gets to move the trackable on (It has a FTF charm on it), and some cash.

Congratulations to PQCaching for once again being FTF! My troop just earned their Woodworker badge and made a modification to this cache that day. The location is now about 110 feet SW from the original. Coords are bouncy but should get you close. There is a hint, if necessary to get you to the right spot. We have also placed an ink pad and stamp in here so that it can be a letterbox hybrid. Please do not take it so the next person can use it to stamp their logbook.
