I'll Love The Lake Forever Traditional Cache

This cache has the best view pictured above of any cache container in Dallas for sure, but I'm kinda of bias cause I LOVE THE LAKE!!! Sheath skills will need to be used. I tried to set it away from the picnic pavilion to make a discreet grab possible when there are picnicking muggles.

I had a previous cache at this location but had to archive it due to the fact I was not down here on a regular basis but now I am once again. I’ll freely admit I have a love affair, with the Lake, no not the Lady of the Lake but White Rock Lake itself! Having spent my most of my life in White Rock and Casa Linda, graduated Bryan Adams Class of 1966, the lake holds fond memories. Taking my high school dates to watch the submarine races on Friday and Saturday nights, sitting in my car at this very spot with my best friend as we talked about life while looking out over the lake. Trying to scare us and others with tales of Lady of the Lake while looking for her at Cox Cemetery (no fence in those days) very late at night. Sitting atop Flag Pole Hill to watch numerous thunderstorms come in on spring and summer nights. In 1965 with my friend Ron after a summer school class, no air conditioning in those days at Bryan Adams we lined up for the opening of the Mockingbird Lane Causeway, we were car # 3 to drive across the bridge after the opening ceremony a dubious honor for sure. Other great memories while raising my family in the 1980s living in Lakewood on the “M” streets and taking my kids to the lake to share this wonderful gem with them. The lake has been a big part of my life. In an ever-changing world one thing that is constant and unchanging is the lake.
