This cache did not lend itself to any obvious name by virtue of being in a location of questionable noteworthiness. Any idea trying to make a pun on Spicer Link were contrived and/or tenuous. So this cache is named for that failed attempt. The cache is a little way off the Spicer Link track so you could say that link is tenuous too.
The location resulted from "I wonder if there's anything up there". The answer to that turned out to be "no". Well, there's a cache of course.
The intended route to the cache is by leaving the track at T1 and going up the hill about 35m. Be prepared for fuzzy GPS reception. The cache is not buried or covered - when you're near it, you'll see it.
The cache is slightly bigger than your average "small" and can fit a few goodies but it's not quite big enough to be classed "regular".
Tip: Although Spicer Link can be walked/cycled in either direction, cyclists seem to mostly go from Raiha Street To Spicer Park (because it forms a loop including the Tumeke downhill) so if walking, going the opposite way makes it easier to see cyclists coming otherwise they tend to sneak up behind you.
This shouldn't be a problem if you can read but if you start from the Broken Hill Carpark and cross the bridge, don't go straight up the hill. There is a "no entry" sign and although it doesn't say why, this the exit for the Crash Palace MTB downhill. Waypoint T0 is where you need to go to get onto Spicer Link.
