Geocache Description:

This is a Whereigo cache with a twist! A REVERSE Whereigo does not give you final coordinates for the cache; it tells you how far away you are. Your task is to determine where the cache is based on the distance you get from multiple "readings". You may begin your search from any point in the world, but probably best near the posted coordinates. The final cache is within 3.2 KM.

Happy Birthday Canada!

It's not just any ordinary Birthday we are celebrating this July 1st, it's the 150th Birthday! To kick things off, we (DougyB and The Robson Family) have decided to release 150 new caches all across the City of Brampton.

Some of these caches will reveal a secret message that will enable you to find the final location of a very special bonus cache. So pay attention for the extra information and Happy Hunting!

The Reverse Whereigo

This Wherigo converts your player into a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box" which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing. You may begin your search from any spot in the world using your Smartphone or Wherigo compatible GPS to navigate to the cache.

The cartridge was created by -Waldmeister- and is available to DOWNLOAD HERE.

-Waldmeister-'s "The first Reverse Cache [WIG]" is the original cache in this family.

Your task is to find the cache by periodically querying your Reverse Cache Box for the distance to the final location. Try to use your Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All instructions and necessary information needed to complete the cartridge is contained within it. The cartridge is multilingual.

To begin, you will have to type this code into your player:

504328
360732
744769

It is suggested that you take the code with you on your journey. It will be needed if it becomes necessary to restart your player for any reason.

Optional:

When you have reached the final, you will be given some statistics on your quest. If you wish, you may enter the details into your log, and also post the number of times you calculated the distance.

Also, at the end of the game, you will be given a personal passcode. You can enter this passcode to create your own reverse wherigo cache. (To do this, when you start the cartridge, select "create" rather than "play", and follow the prompts). This personal passcode is not required to play the cartridge for this geocache ... it is provided if you want to create your own Reverse Whereigo cache in the future.

The Cache

Once you have arrived at the final coordinates you will be searching for a camo'd micro-sized bison tube hanging in an evergreen tree.

About Whereigo

Whereigo is a real-world GPS-enabled adventure game. You will need a Whereigo-compatible device (some GPS, and many Android devices/iPhones/iPads with a compatible app). You can use your Geocaching account to log into Whereigo.com (required for the link above labelled "DOWNLOAD HERE"). If you want to know more about Whereigo there are many excellent resources available on the Internet.

Please do not include hints in your log about where and how you found the cache or post photos that would give away the final location. Any logs that contains spoilers will be deleted.
