Geocache Description:

This is a letterbox, please don't take the stamp

The posted and final coordinates of the letterbox are *NOT* the same.

This geocache is placed with permission of Cincinnati Parks Board and is located in Mt Airy Park

Note: during the fall season some trails are closed on some days for professional hunters to thin the deer herd.

Use the link below to check on trail closures

The cache is not located at the listed coordinates.  There's just a trailhead here.

Here on geoaching you can't really do a complete old shool letterbox, it is requred that a GPS be used for part of the find.

Read the clues below to find you letterbox.

From the trail head go downhill the trail in the general direction of 116 degree true.

At the bottom of the hill as you hit the creek head in the direction of 145 degrees true.

What you are looking for are storm sewer lids (OK - not many other landamrks in the woods).  Most protrude out of the ground, at least one is flush with the ground.

When you get to the third drain you are nearly there.  To your left you'll see a nice tree root ladder to climb out of the valley.

The cache is located 65 feet bearing 60 degrees true from the 3rd sewer lid.  The cache is behind a tree buried behind some bricks.

If you make it the a trail intersection at about N39 09.549 W84 35.294  you have gone too far and missed a sewer.
