Before I begin, I would like to thank Oak Mountain State Park for allowing such a hide in the park. Since this is not your average geocache, some additional steps and preparation were taken in order to hide such a cache here. The staff at Oak Mountain has been very supportive of our crazy game for years now and it’s much appreciated.
Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the cacher of a town in Alabam
In northwest Alabam born and raised
In Bankhead Forest where I’ve hiked most of my days
Caching out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And hiding stashes outside of the school
When a couple of cachers were up to no good
Started hiding caches in my neighborhood
I found one little cache and my mom got scared
And said you’re moving with your auntie and uncle in the Oak Mountain Air
I begged and pleaded with her the other day
But she packed my GPS and plastic ware and sent me on my way
She gave me a stash and she gave me some cash
I turned on my iPhone and said I might as well kick it
I whistled for a Ranger and when he came near
The license plate said “Cacher” and had a GPS in the mirror
If anything I could say this Ranger was rare
But I thought now forget it, yo Holmes take to the Oak Mountain Air
I pulled up to the cache about seven or eight
And I yelled to the Ranger, yo Holmes Cache with ya later
Looked at my GPS I was finally there
I found my Crown at this cache and became Cacher of Oak Mountain Air
This geocache is not your typical container, please take care of this hide and leave it as you found it or better. You should not have any difficulties finding this cache as it is standing right in front of you in full view of the parking lot. You can literally pull within feet of the container. Enjoy the cache!
