This series is designed to familiarize new geocachers with the locations where caches are frequently placed and the types of containers that are commonly hidden.
Guard rails are a common feature along roadway, bridges and other locations where protection is deemed necessary. In addition to security, they also provide convenient hiding places. Containers can be magnetized and attached to any metal part of the barrier. Other types of containers such a pill bottles or tins can simply be placed in cavities of the barrier. Barriers are often attached to wooden posts. Some of these posts have cavities or holes which can conceal a container.
This particular cache is a magnetic key holder attached to the guard rail.
