THE LOCATION
The coordinates given in the description are general
to Door County and do not lead to the cache.
One must find the two other caches, P.C.
Junction Cache and After
School Treat, which contain the exact coordinates of this cache. DO
NOT POST THE COORDINATES OF THIS CACHE OR ANY REFERENCES TO THE LOCATION OF THIS
CACHE IN THE LOG ENTRY.
The cache is located in one of the many parks in Door County. Before
placing the cache in the park, I spoke with the Superintendent. The
Superintendent gave me conditional permission to hide the cache. I am in
agreement with the Superintendent that the environment should not suffer as a
result of the cache. If there is any negative impact on the environment,
the cache will be removed. I will be in contact with the Superintendent to
ensure the success of this cache. This being said please follow all of the
instructions and use the utmost care when searching for this cache.
THE CONTAINER
A 50mm ammo box.
PARKING
Add the following to the actual cache coordinates to get the parking location
Latitude + 0.338
Longitude - 0.847
Just to make sure you are in the right location you should be able to see the
highest point of the park from the parking lot.
You might be able to park closer, but I would advise against it since the
hints will only work if you approach the cache from the trailhead at the parking
lot listed above. Additionally you run the risk of getting a ticket if you
create your own parking space not to mention the removal of the cache.
INSTRUCTIONS
- The one-way walking distance is 1.07 miles from the parking lot to the
cache. The cache is only 120 feet off the trail. First and foremost, stay
on the trail!
- If you loose satellite reception, which you most likely will, you can use
the hints to find the cache, that is only if you park at the designated
parking lot.
- Strollers are not recommend, the trail starts out very nice, but narrows
and becomes rather bumpy.
- Find the cache.
- Log your visit.
- Replace the container making sure to close the box tightly.
- Log your find on www.geocaching.com.
PLEASE DO NOT POST THE COORDINATES OF THIS CACHE OR ANY REFERENCES TO THE LOCATION OF THIS CACHE IN THE LOG ENTRY.
BONUS POINTS
Including pictures of wild life observed while on the trail earns double
