Welcome to the heart of New Port. Yes it isn't much now but in the days when transportation on the Grand river was key this was the place to be. There are many interesting facts on this plaque and a few of them you will need in order to find the final. QUESTIONS - (ignore all decimals in your answers) 1) How many bricks could they make with a single cord of wood? ABCD 2) How much did the Newport bridge of today cost per foot to build? EFGH 3) When Joseph Brant sold this area in 1796 how many dollars would 200 acres have cost? IJK 4) How many years before the school closed did 200 ft of river bank erode?
